Biblical chiasms classified by size.

Multi-book chiasms

  • Genesis through Exodus: David Schwartz proposes that Half the Torah is a Chiasm (the 38*2+1=77 item chart takes up the last three pages of the pdf). Notably, God making a space for us in His world (Gen 1) maps to His people making a space for Him to occupy in our world (Ex 40). Numerous links proceed inwardly from there. AlephBeta has an interview with Schwartz on this matter.
  • Since Leviticus is the center of the Torah, some have proposed that the five books of Moses form a chiasm, again with Yom Kippur at the center.
